Zhang Chongren Memorial Hall

Located in Qibao Town, Minhang District, the memorial hall covers an area of 600 square meters. With an architectural style adapted from the Ming and Qing Dynasties, the decoration in the hall is novel but classic.

The items on display are precious and can be admired by both refined and popular tastes. The foreword in the preface hall, written by Mr.Wang Liping, the former director of CPPCC in Shanghai, has appreciated Mr. Zhang Chongren’s patriotism and his pursuit of art.

There is also a bronze statue of Zhang Chongren created by one of his students, Mr. Yan Youren. The display room has been divided into six parts in biographical order.

The full and accurate texts, photos and paintings together with the sculpture masterpieces display the life and achievements of Mr. Zhang Chongren.

Many paintings and sculptures from students, who would like to express their respect for the master, makes contributions to the glory of the memorial hall.
